Right from Peru comes Salsa Criolla

I truly think that this should be a staple in all fridges and it could be the “new Ketchup” of the future! You can literally eat it with anything! The Beretta’s eat it on hot dogs and burgers on a regular basis!

INGREDIENTS

1 large red onion, sliced paper thin
½ Cup fresh squeezed lime juice
½ teaspoon vinegar (any white vinegar is fine)
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Sea salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Let marinate for several hours or overnight. Stir once half way through marinating time to make sure all the onions get soaked in the lime juice mixture.

In Peru they serve this in most restaurants with anything you order. I sometimes order it as a side! Next time you eat Peruvian, you must try it!
